CALIBRATION SERVICE EUROPE

CALIBRATE WITH US

PCB Europe’s Calibration Laboratory provides a range of services aimed to meet your vibration calibration needs. All calibrations include a certificate with traceability to the national standard. More information on our capabilities and quality assurance practices can be found below.

For PCB manufactured products, refer to our codes and pricing page. We are happy to provide quotes on an individualized basis for sensors made by other manufacturers.

PRECISION VIBRATION CALIBRATION

In order to deliver calibration services of the highest quality, PCB Europe’s Calibration Laboratory is equipped with a calibration system and software from The Modal Shop, Inc., a PCB Group Company. For more than 25 years, The Modal Shop has served as a system and service leader in the metrology community. With these tools, PCB Europe is here to be your partner in a world class calibration program.

The system is composed by an Air Bearing Shaker (Model K394B30/B31) and a Data Acquisition Workstation (Model 9155). The TMS software controls the system, takes readings and creates the calibration certificate.

ISO/IEC 17025:2017 calibration

PCB Europe’s precision Calibration Laboratory D-K-19664-01-00 is accredited by the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) (former: German Accreditation Body GmbH (DKD)).

We rely on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for the calibration of ICP® and charge accelerometers from the frequency range of 5 Hz to 15 kHz. Our calibration services for vibration are completed via the back-to-back method according to ISO 16063-21:2003, and for shock excitation to ISO 16063-22:2005. These calibrations are of the highest quality with lowest measurement uncertainty for a calibration system.

Our calibrations provide:

  • Internationally recognized calibrations from an ISO certified laboratory
  • Traceability to national and international standards of accreditation bodies, organized by ILAC
  • Confidence in the accuracy and reliability of your future measurements
  • Control over the functionality of your existing sensors
  • Implementation of nationally and internationally recognized measurement standards and regulations

Low Measurement Uncertainty

Given the expanded measurement uncertainty, result from the standard uncertainty of measurement multiplying it by the coverage factor k=2.

It was determined according to the EA-4/02 M:2013. The value of the measurand is with a confidence level of 95% in the associated value interval.

ACCREDITATION CERTIFICATE

For the calibration of ICP® and charge accelerometers:

5 - 9 Hz 1,7 %
10 - 99 Hz 1,2 %
100 Hz 0,8 %
101 - 920 Hz 1,0 %
921 - 5000 Hz 1,2 %
5001 - 10000 Hz 2,1 %
10001 - 15000 Hz 2,5 %
For ICP® and charge Impact Hammer, by the calculation of the sensitivity in the range of 0,1 ms to 10 ms: 3 %
