Conflict Mineral Policy
PCB Piezotronics is committed to respecting and promoting human rights worldwide. As one facet of our global approach to respecting human rights, PCB Piezotronics has implemented a responsible sourcing program for certain minerals used in the manufacture of our products. Our program seeks to ensure that our products do not contain materials derived from conflict minerals. Our responsible minerals sourcing program is tailored around the Responsible Minerals Initiative and the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (“RMAP”), which employs a risk-based approach to validate smelters, refiners, and processors with consideration to their mineral procurement processes.
Our Commitment to Responsible Sourcing
PCB and its subsidiaries partner exclusively with suppliers who mirror our dedication to human rights, integrity, and environmental stewardship.
Conflict Minerals Compliance
We strictly adhere to the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Due Diligence Guidance and Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act. Our goal is to ensure our supply chain does not support armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or its neighboring regions.
To maintain these standards, we require:
- Conflict-Free Verification: Suppliers must strive for "conflict-free" status, ensuring their minerals do not finance regional violence.
- Transparent Reporting: PCB Piezotronics has established a comprehensive management system to determine the origin of the conflict minerals and 3TGs used in our products. We report our findings, as required, on an annual basis.
Expanded Due Diligence
Beyond 3TG, PCB utilizes the Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT) to monitor cobalt, mica, and battery-related minerals. By validating supplier data and taking corrective action when risks arise, we ensure our supply chain remains transparent and ethically sound.
Reporting Cycle & Data Requests
To maintain the highest level of accuracy and transparency, PCB conducts an extensive annual supplier outreach program. Please note the following regarding our reporting process:
- Annual Frequency: CMRT and EMRT data is collected and validated once per calendar year.
- Reporting Scope: Because our due diligence is conducted at the enterprise level, we are unable to accommodate requests for product-specific or targeted data once the annual outreach program is complete.
- Continuous Improvement: We prioritize industry-standard reporting and continuously refine our processes to ensure our annual disclosures meet all regulatory expectations and customer transparency needs.
