How the Reciprocating Machine Protector (RMP) Works

The RMP detects high-impact events caused by the loosening or degradation of internal machine components. Using a proven detection method, the RMP monitors:

  • Impact amplitude
  • Frequency of impacts within a defined time window

Based on these measurements, it outputs a corresponding 4-20 mA signal, simplifying integration into plant monitoring systems.
