April 2, 2024, Depew, NY - IMI Sensors, manufacturer of industrial vibration monitoring instrumentation, is proud to announce the addition of new micro-power models 66203RPZ1 and 66213RPZ1 to its line of embeddable industrial accelerometers. Ideal for use in battery-powered monitoring products and systems, these accelerometers boast microsecond settling time and extremely low power consumption, enabling months to years of additional time between battery changes compared to similar models. In addition to the wide frequency response provided by piezoelectric technology (1 – 12,500 Hz, ± 3 dB), the strategic placement of the sensing element at the bottom of the housing distinguishes the design from embeddable MEMS devices, allowing for tighter coupling to the object being measured and minimizing unwanted vibration for optimal signal integrity.
Key specifications include:
- Low power consumption: 180 µW
- Low current draw: 60 µA
- Fast power up and settling time: 350 µs
- Voltage source: Operates within the range of 3.0 – 5.5 VDC
IMI's micro-powered embeddable accelerometers are thoughtfully engineered for industrial applications, featuring sensitivity options of 50 or 100 mV/g, frequency response of 1 – 12,500 Hz (± 3 dB), and an acceleration range of 25 g.
