PCB Piezotronics, Inc. Launches
New IP68-Rated Connector and Cables

Fully submersible for use in wet environments

April 15, 2019, Depew, NY – PCB Piezotronics, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MTS Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: MTSC), has released the new Connector Model RB and the Cable Model Series of 034Wxx and 078Wxx. These new four-conductor, shielded cables are suited for Automotive, Test & Measurement and Aerospace & Defense applications where water, moisture and dust may be a concern. The sensor end, a 1/4-28 4-Socket Plug, is designed to be submersible in water and is IP68-rated to a depth of 1 meter for 4 hours. The 034W cable assembly can also survive temperatures from -76 to 325 ⁰F (-60 to 163 ⁰C). Multiple lengths and configurations are available and in stock to meet application needs for RLDA testing, water tunnel testing, and environmental testing.

The 034W and 078W cables can also be ordered with custom lengths and the following DAQ-side connector options:

  • No Connector
    BZ (blunt cut), AD (pigtail), DZ (pigtail for 3711 series)
  • 1/4-28 Connector
    RB (4-socket female), CA (4-pin male)
  • Triple Splice
    JW (BNC plugs), LA (10-32 plugs), LC (SMBs), GR (blunt cuts), JR (pigtails)
