Signal Conditioning

A Product of the Aerospace & Defense Division

PCB® Flight test signal conditioners, based on model number, work with PE (Piezoelectric) charge mode or ICP® (IEPE) voltage mode test sensors. PE sensors output a charge proportional to the measured parameter. ICP® (IEPE) sensors output a voltage proportional to the measured parameter. PE sensors are typically used when the sensor mounting location temperature exceeds the upper temperature limit of an ICP® (IEPE) sensor. The charge output needs conversion to a voltage signal for the data system to process. PCB’s manufactures airborne amplifiers and in-line charge converters normally located in a cooler environment than the associated sensor.

PCB® manufactures several ICP® signal conditioners for use with test sensors placed in locations where the ambient temperature is within sensor specifications.
