August 6, 2025 - Depew, NY - PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) is proud to announce the launch of the Endevco® Model 7262A, our first amplified piezoresistive (PR) MEMS accelerometer. Designed for motion measurement in outdoor, high shock environments, this sensor delivers high output, built in temperature compensation and rugged environmental protection to ensure stable, accurate results in the harshest test conditions.
Model 7262A bridges the gap between motion measurement and high shock survivability, making it ideal for demanding off highway vehicle and other demanding outdoor applications. With IP67 sealing, a 10,000 g shock limit, and operation from 65 to +250 °F, it thrives in mud, dust, extreme heat, and arctic cold. Its integral cable enhances durability for field use.
The sensor's low 200 ohm output impedance and internal 5 V regulation enable long cable runs without the high frequency roll off or sensitivity drift common in traditional PR MEMS accelerometers. This ensures accurate motion data collection even when data acquisition systems are positioned far from the test article.
Additional Features:
- Available in 100 g, 500 g, or 1000 g full-scale ranges
- Gas-damped to reduce signal overshoot and minimize ringing for clean signal response
- Internal voltage regulation prevents signal loss over cable runs up to 100 ft
- Small footprint for flat mounting in constrained locations
Suggested Applications:
- Rough road testing of heavy machinery and off highway vehicles
- Military vehicle durability testing
- Blast testing of large structures
- Landing impact measurements for carrier-based aircraft
