Stable Pressure Measurements for Extreme Thermal and Dynamic Gas Events

Introducing PCB Model 116A05 UHT-12™ High Temperature Pressure Sensor

January 16, 2026 - Depew, NY - PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) announces the release of Model 116A05, a new UHT-12™ high temperature pressure sensor designed for propulsion testing, energy systems, and research applications that demand reliable pressure and acoustic data measurements across extreme temperatures. With a wide operating range from –320°F to +800°F (–196°C to +427°C), the 116A05 supports engineers working in harsh high-temperature and cryogenic environments.

Key design features include:

  • UHT-12™ high-temperature crystal sensing element
  • Wide operating temperature range of –320°F to +800°F (–196°C to +427°C)
  • Case-isolated configuration to reduce electrical noise and ground loops
  • 100 psi (6.9 bar) measurement range; 4000 psi (276 bar) maximum pressure rating
  • Single-ended charge output with 10-32 jack connection
Model 116A05

The 116A05 is well-suited for rocket motor combustion instability, combustion dynamics, steam monitoring, thermoacoustics, and other high-temperature dynamic pressure measurements, including transient pressure events, air turbulence, or aeroacoustic phenomena on aircraft structures and rockets.
