Endevco, a division of PCB Piezotronics (PCB®), introduces its Modular 6DoF Sensor Family, combining new Model 773A and Model 776 triaxial accelerometers with the Model 7330 triaxial angular rate sensor to provide complete motion measurement in a compact, configurable form.
Designed for automotive and aerospace & defense testing, the modular system allows engineers to build a 6DoF sensor by stacking the 7330 with either accelerometer, selecting measurement ranges based on application requirements. The new accelerometers measure three axes of translation (X, Y, Z), while the 7330 provides three axes of rotation (pitch, roll, yaw), enabling a complete view of motion in dynamic environments.
The Model 773A is a triaxial DC response accelerometer using variable capacitance MEMS technology, designed for low-level acceleration measurements. It is available in ranges from 8 g to 200 g and supports both differential and single-ended output.
The Model 776 is a triaxial piezoresistive accelerometer designed for shock and impact testing. With a 2,000 g range, multi-mode damping, and minimal zero shift, it delivers stable performance in high-input acceleration environments.
Both models are designed to stack directly with the 7330, creating a compact 6DoF solution with reduced size and mass compared to traditional configurations. This makes the system well suited for smaller test articles and applications where sensor footprint matters.
An optional Model 7973 adhesive mounting plate supports easy installation and reuse while maintaining proper coupling.
