IMI Sensors Receives GOST Metrology Certificates

Sensors are approved for industrial vibration measurement in the Russian Federation

April 30, 2014, DEPEW, NY – IMI Sensors, a division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc., announced the acquisition of the GOST Metrology Certificate for its industrial vibration product lines by Russian Federation Agency of Technical Regulation and Metrology.

This certificate primarily encompasses the operational confidence of measuring equipment. This process ensures that each model conforms to the product documentation; describing the scope of instrument, the primary technical and metrological specifications, accuracy, and calibration details. Upon conferral of the certificate, these models are registered by name and instrument type with the regulation office and stored in a databank for reference.

This certification has been applied to numerous IMI sensors:

• All series 60x and 62x IMI Accelerometers
• All series 64x IMI Transmitters
• All series 68x IMI Signal Conditioners
• All 685 & 686 series IMI Vibration Switches

The Metrology Certificate is issued by an independent accredited body through several laboratory quality tests of IMI’s product. This institution laboratory performs testing and ensures proper supporting documentation for all models based on their intended measurements as an instrument used in the Russian Federation. They verify this conformity for each model according to approved standard procedures already established for the specification. A proper Metrology Certificate is recommended for customs clearance, distribution and sales in the Russian Federation, and often is requested at the time of shipment.
