Commodity Specialist - Depew, NY

PCB Piezotronics, Inc, a global leader in the manufacture of sensors for test and measurement applications, is looking for an experienced Commodities Specialist in our Depew Corporate office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, management and procurement of commodities that conform to manufacturing requirements, and continuously improve the lowest total cost/highest value relationship. Duties include identifying, qualifying, and negotiating with suppliers to maintain optimal inventories. Additional responsibilities include working closely with internal forecasters, planners, and production staff/management to meet lean initiatives and production demands.

Candidates must have five + years experience in a similar position, including experience purchasing low to mid volume high precision machined and molded components. BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or Engineering required, MS preferred. Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills, and excellent negotiation skills. The successful candidate will possess a strong analytical and mechanical aptitude, and excellent computer skills. Knowledge of MRP, KanBan, and ISO9001 preferred.
