Quality Assurance Engineer

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Minimum of three years technical experience is required, including a minimum of two years in Quality Engineering, preferably within an aerospace industry. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is desirable.

PCB’s Quality Assurance Engineer’s must be able to work in a team environment for problem resolution, and must have good written and verbal communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with suppliers and customers.  Candidates must be a self-starters and able to work independently to achieve assigned goals, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

 

They must have knowledge and experience in internal auditing of ISO 9001:2000, AS 9100 and ISO17025 standards. Along with being able to plan, organize and implement Quality Assurance objectives for assigned processes and programs.  Candidates are required to have experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Control Plans and Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA).  Working knowledge of Mil Standards and ASTM specifications a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among team members.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will plan and execute cost effective quality programs that will help ensure contractual compliance to quality requirements and the integrity of delivered product including aerospace programs. They will also prepare quality assurance proposals, cost estimates, and fulfill contract review quality-related requirements, along with develop inspection plans, and evaluate the robustness and risk of processes and recommending improvement actions where appropriate.

 

PCB’s Quality Engineer  will lead cross functional teams in non-conformance and failure investigations to establish definitive root cause and effective corrective action and work with suppliers and internal departments to establish common direction and prioritization of Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP's) to improve quality at the customer. They will also develop sampling plans based on statistical analysis of customer quality performance, and conduct direct communication with customers to provide preventive measures on quality issues as well as evaluate effects of delivered product in the event of a quality spill, pull, or recall.
