Accelerometri ICP® Shock

Gli accelerometri shock della Serie 350, sono espressamente disegnati per fronteggiare e misurare accelerazioni transitorie estreme, ad alta ampiezza e corta durata. Queste accelerazioni caratteristicamente superano i 1.000 g di limite generalmente imposto agli altri tipi di accelerometri. Le accelerazioni shock possono raggiungere i 100.000 g e oltre, con impulsi di meno di 10 microsecondi. La transizione estremamente veloce e la natura volatile di un evento shock, impone delle richieste specifiche nella progettazione di un accelerometro shock.

Gli accelerometri Shock PCB testimoniano la lunga ricerca sui materiali e sulle tecniche di assemblaggio e test, per assicurare la capacità di sopravvivenza del prodotto e la fedele rappresentazione dell'evento. Una Hopkinson Bar Calibration Station automatizzata, viene utilizzata per dare un valore alla performance del sensore, simulando una grande varietà di condizioni di misura. Questo investimento permette alla PCB di valutare e migliorare le caratteristiche individuali di ogni sensore, come zero-shift, risonanza e non linearità.

Sensori con taglio al quarzo o ceramica sono utilizzati negli accelerometri shock per minimizzare gli effetti di torsione della base e passaggi termici. Gli elementi ceramici rendono il sensore più leggero, piccolo, capace di avere limiti di frequenza più ampi. Gli elementi al quarzo offrono una capacità termica maggiore, permettendone un uttilizzo più generale. Il circuito di condizionamento del segnale integrato permette all'accelerometro ICP® di lavorare con una corrente costante, rendendo più affidabili e semplici le condizioni d'uso. L'aggiunta di filtri meccanici ed elettronici, in alcuni modelli, aiutano la sopressione della risonanza eliminando l'effetto ringing dal segnale in uscita alle alte frequenze.

E' disponibile una versione in carica, uso generico, per i sistemi che utilizzano amplificatori di carica esterni e laddove è desiderata una più ampia possibilità di regolazione, tipica del testing pyroshock near-field e far-field.
