Differential Remote Charge Converters
Differential Remote Charge Converters (DRCC) are designed to condition the signal of differential piezoelectric sensors. They convert the transducer's high impedance charge input to a low impedance voltage output, making them less susceptible to noise in the cabling from the DRCC to the main signal conditioning instrument. It also makes the system's noise level insensitive to the capacitance of the cable connecting the DRCC to the main conditioner.
Endevco 2777A is a low noise DRCC frequently used for flight testing. Selectable gain and high pass filter options are available.
