PCB Piezotronics Names Michael Thibeault Lead Design Engineer for Acoustics Product Development

PCB Strengthens Acoustics Team with Technology Expert


May 6, 2014, Depew, N.Y. - PCB Piezotronics, a leading supplier of microphones, vibration, pressure, force, torque, load, and strain sensors, announces that Michael Thibeault has joined the company as the Lead Design Engineer of the Acoustics product development group. Mr. Thibeault has an MBA and Master of Science in Acoustics from the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Urinus College. With over 20 years of engineering experience, he has expertise in program and project management in the design and development of high-tech products and systems.

As Lead Design Engineer, he is responsible for managing a team of engineers to analyze, design and test the next generation of measurement microphones for acoustics test applications. "Mike is a great addition to our team. He brings, not only, acoustics technical expertise but also extensive knowledge in acoustics product applications in the defense sector, one of our core markets," said David Rizzo, Director of Sales and Marketing. The team is focused on expanding PCB®'s acoustic portfolio to address customers' evolving test needs in the Aerospace, Defense, Test and Measurement, and Automotive industries.

Prior to joining PCB®, Mr. Thibeault managed large Defense programs and supervised the testing and fabrication of SONAR transducers and arrays. He also was an F-16 Avionics Specialist for the US Air Force.
