PCB Piezotronics Veteran Elected President of the Vibration Institute

August 21, 2012, Depew, NY - PCB Piezotronics, Inc., a global leader in vibration, acoustic, pressure, force, and torque sensors, announces the appointment of Dave Corelli as President of the Vibration Institute. The Vibration Institute is the world's leading professional organization for machinery vibration analysts.

The Vibration Institute elected Mr. Corelli, a veteran vibration professional with over 38 years of experience, to serve a three-year term beginning this year. Mr. Corelli is currently the Director of Application Engineering at IMI Sensors, a division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc.

Mr. Corelli has been a member of the Vibration Institute for over 25 years and has served on the Board of Directors since 2006, chaired the Institute's Vibration Certification Committee for over ten years leading them to ANSI Accreditation, and is a Category IV Certified Vibration Analyst. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Wright State University and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama. His career has included work at the U.S. Air Force Avionics Laboratory, Hewlett Packard, Entek, and IRD Mechanalysis.

As he took office, Mr. Corelli shared his vision for his presidency, "I am honored and excited to have been selected by the Board of Directors to lead the organization forward. During my tenure, I will focus on making the Vibration Institute more accessible and helpful to its membership and the entire vibration community. We will strive to appeal to a larger professional base through effective use of state-of-the-art electronic media including a new website. We will work to update and improve training, educational materials, and our accredited vibration certification program. In addition, we will seek to improve peer to peer networking of our members and the vibration community, allowing easy access to the expertise of other professionals."
