Bob Metz of PCB® Voted to Be a Member of the NDIA Fuze Conference Steering Committee

June 30, 2017, Depew, NY – Bob Metz, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Aerospace & Defense Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc. has been unanimously voted in as a member of the National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) Fuze Conference Steering Committee. This appointment marks Mr. Metz as a key player in the Fuze industry. PCB’s Vice President Mr. Harold Scott stated, “I believe his knowledge, energy level and leadership ability will help positively guide the future direction of the committee.”

The committee is part of NDIA’s Munitions Technology Division, Fuze Section, which works to promote an open exchange of technical information among government and industry technical personnel. They identify and address changes in standards, guidance, policy, and organizational functions that impact the development, production, and performance of fuzes. The periodic steering committee meetings and annual meetings feature discussions of new concepts in products and processes. For example, technology, manufacturing techniques, fuze safety and means of improving fuze reliability may be addressed during Fuze Section meetings.

Bob Metz holds a BS degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the State University of NY at Buffalo. Bob has been an instrumentation engineer for over twenty years, focusing on shock, vibration, pressure and force measurement using piezoelectric and piezoresistive sensors.
