Manufacturing Technician

The Manufacturing Technician is directly involved in the production of MEMS devices in MMI’s state of the art Toledo, OH based manufacturing facility.

Qualifications:

Education/Training:

: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Any advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

Experienced in safely working with and around hazardous chemicals. Previous manufacturing experience in a similar environment preferred. Experience with Quality Control systems in a manufacturing environment preferred. Understanding of Statistical Process Control Preferred.

Physical Demands:

Able to prefer essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Other:

Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, which is temperature and humidity controlled. Ability to work in a company-supplied cleanroom suit and follow specific protocols for gowning and de-gowning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle fragile materials. High attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination. General proficiency with computers and with Microsoft Word.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team-based production environment to support activities in silicon wafer processing including photolithography, wet processing, plasma etching, PVD/CVD, metrology and inspection.
  • Accurately follow process instructions and maintain quality standards.
  • Maintain required levels of cleanliness.
  • Work safely in areas where hazardous chemicals are stored or in use.
  • Learn best practices for various processes involved with silicon wafer fabrication.
  • Quickly and easily move between multiple production tasks on a daily basis.
  • Willingness to learn new skills in a high-technology environment.
  • Perform job duties on a consistent basis and be able to work under pressure at times to maintain production schedules.
