Application Engineer — Dallas, Texas

Job Summary:

The candidate in this role will provide technical/sales support/customer service and phone coverage to the office. It is important that they have some application knowledge as they will provide application assistance and may work with the Engineering Department on new projects. They will also continue to receive additional training in sales procedures and general piezoelectric principles.

Job Duties:

  • Receives training in company sales procedures and general piezoelectric principles.
  • Provides quotations for products and services in accordance with pricing and delivery policy.
  • Assists Field Sales and Regional Sales Managers with follow up on consignment orders and logged quotes.
  • Responds to a wide range of written and phoned customer inquiries. Supports customer service/sales in all service related requirements in region.
  • Responds to telephone calls or correspondence from customers and representatives for new contracts or repairs including: performs contract review, corrects discrepancies on all documentation.
  • Assists customers technically and seeks technical assistance when needed to best serve the customer.
  • Assists in the expediting of orders and repairs including: generating RMA forms, documents information from customers and performs follow up on sales activity.
  • Responsible for making appropriate product recommendations to customers.
  • Works with the Engineering department and Product Managers in developing customized products.
  • Acts as a liaison between the customer and Product Managers by communicating customer feedback and customer input required for market research.
  • May travel to customer locations and tradeshows to provide technical assistance and assist in product demonstration training.
  • Responsible to enter leads and communications into CRM when the Field Sales cannot.

Qualifications:

TThis role requires a four year technical degree or equivalent in specialized training. Two to four years of experience in an inside sales/customer service role is preferred. Light to moderate travel required. Basic computer skills are necessary to be successful in this position, as well as the ability to work flexible hours. Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
