Manufacturing Engineer III

We are currently growing and in need of a Manufacturing Engineer III to join our team in Depew, NY.

The Manufacturing Engineer III is a respected technical leader applying their education, experience and expertise to drive manufacturing and process technology. Works closely with production technicians, product design engineers and management to improve manufacturing processes and product designs. Works with production to resolve issues in the short term to allows us to satisfy immediate customer demand, as well as leading the effort for continuous improvement projects in order to implement persistent corrective actions. Significant collaboration with Sales, Supply Chain and Quality departments, production technicians and manufacturing supervisors, other engineers and PCB’s Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements:

Education/Training: BS/MS Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 7 years manufacturing engineering experience
Other: Formal problem solving methodologies
DFM/A and manufacturing process development
GD&T, tolerance stack-up, design review & analysis
Lean, Six-Sigma and statistical analysis expertise
Tool and fixture design
Manufacturing processes expertise, including precision assembly
Product calibration and electrical testing
Knowledge of, and experience with aerospace alloys

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drives a culture of teamwork, cooperation and “Total Customer Satisfaction”.
  • Resolves manufacturing issues/challenges impacting customer shipments, including detailed root cause analyses of any failures and corrective and preventative actions.
  • Collaborates with Design Engineering in the launch of new product releases.
  • Continuously improves manufacturing to increase Key performance Indicator metrics.
  • Analyzes new, and existing, product designs and develops manufacturing methods, processes and equipment.
  • Researches and applies new manufacturing technologies to improve manufacturing quality and throughput, productivity and efficiency.
  • Works with other Engineers, Technicians and Supervisors to provide support and training on assembly methods, test procedures, production equipment and company policies/procedures, etc.
  • Leads small teams of Engineers and Technicians in manufacturing engineering, technical problem solving and process improvement projects.
  • Utilizes PCB’s 3D CAD modeling software to create and modify product, tooling and fixture designs.
  • Utilizes MS Office and PCB’s business system (ERP) software to create written procedures, manufacturing work instructions, Bills of Material, and manufacturing routers.
  • Uses analytical results and statistical foundations to drive data based engineering decisions.
  • Guides employees, throughout the entire company, as a subject matter expert in manufacturing and engineering technology.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
