PCB Load & Torque to Offer Custom Load Solutions for Unique Customer Applications

Company provides custom 'transducerizing' solutions to meet application needs not met by stock product offering.

September 25, 2013, Depew, N.Y. -PCB Load & Torque is pleased to announce that it is now providing custom "transducerizing" solutions for customers with unique application needs. Some of the customized solutions to date include instrumenting customer-supplied bolts for thrust load measurements; transducerizing drive shafts using telemetry for wireless data collection; and customized load cells for measuring hose clamp pressure.

The company recently re-launched its line of general purpose and fatigue rated load cells. The product line includes value priced fatigue rated and general purpose load cells that come in a variety of mechanical configurations such as low profile, canister, rod-end, and s-type--all of which provide excellent accuracy at an affordable price.

PCB stock general purpose load cells are available in standard capacities that range from 25 lb to 200 klb, with a standard static error band (±0.04% to 0.06%) non-linearity, hysteresis, non-repeatability, and extraneous load sensitivity. In addition, they have an A2LA accredited calibration to ISO 17025 in both tension and compression directions and include thermal and barometric compensation.

Designed and manufactured at PCB Load & Torque, Inc. in Farmington Hills, Mich., PCB® general purpose load cells are suitable for a wide range of general force measurement applications such as weighing, structural testing, and material test machines.

"Our stock load cell products are quite versatile," said Dominec El-Achkar, director of Engineering at PCB Load & Torque, "but every so often, customers identify application needs that are not met by our stock product offering, so in keeping with our 'total customer satisfaction' philosophy, we work with them to provide custom solutions to meet their unique needs."
