Qualifications:

Education/Training: High School or equivalent with experience.
Experience: Two years minimum.
Physical Demands: Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Other: Adequate knowledge of measurement and test equipment and standard metrology practices.
Familiar with required inspection equipment.
Familiar with B/P interpretation including GD & T requirements.

Basic Function:

Follow all PCB procedures and forms in compliance to ISO 9001.
Responsible for department inspection process and component dimensional, visual and associated specifications verification. Responsible for maintenance of inspection records demonstrating component lot traceability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Promotes teamwork, cooperates and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among team members.

  1. Sets an example of good work habits and attitude, by cooperation and interacts with employees in a positive manner showing commitment to customer service.
  2. Responsible for knowing and using current required procedures for processing components during inspection processes.
  3. Inspects, records and maintains records of product inspection and material verification for purchased and PCB produced products per drawings and other applicable specifications. Demonstrates required knowledge of: Material Safety Data Sheet program (MSDS) and component lot traceability. Ensures timely delivery of product to internal departments and customers.
  4. Generates, updates, and maintains records of quality control documentation such as Discrepant Material Reports, department procedures, customer and supplier product certificates and their storage and traceability to inspected items. Accurately maintains inspection software for inspection process.
  5. Ensures department calibration equipment is within due dates.
  6. Keeps area clean and organized.
  7. Ensures department is effectively maintained at all times to accommodate acceptable internal and external audits.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department and Performs audits of all Machinists according to internal procedures.
  9. Reviews audit results with Production Supervisors.
  10. Performs on-the-spot training for Machinists when deficiencies are noted.
  11. Recommends changes to procedures, machine shop practices, etc. based on audit results.
  12. Identifies training needs and other opportunities for improvement to the Management Team based on audit results.
  13. Maintains records and reports associated with the Certified Machinist Program.
  14. Assists in implementing company-wide quality directives.
  15. Performs other duties as required for the efficient operation of the Quality Assurance Department.
