Continuous Improvement Specialist

We are currently growing and in need of a Continuous Improvement Specialist, to join our team members, in Depew, NY. The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing quality, profitable products for a division of PCB.

Qualifications:

Four year degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Advanced degree a plus. Two to five years of experience in manufacturing, at least one of which is in leading Lean initiatives. Knowledge of operations and lean manufacturing tools/principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among team members.
• Serve as a subject matter expert related to Continuous Improvement (CI) manufacturing and its application to PCB and its affiliates.
• Responsible for preparation and review of training materials and actively training and coaching employees.
• Facilitates and Leads CI events and activities. Identifies, analyzes and implements improvement opportunities.
• Lead projects and other initiatives to support Lean efforts by training and coaching cross functional teams.
• Collects and analyzes data such as; capacity-demand, time studies and process flows.
• Support project teams with training, coaching and problem solving.
• Perform audits to ensure that teams are working to plan.
• Leads Value Stream Mapping workshops to develop strategic improvement roadmaps.
• Identifies and collects metrics to evaluate Current Condition and uses data-driven analytics to measure progress toward Target Condition.
• Works with departments across the organization to ensure lean implementation considers and/or complies with assembly methods, test procedures, ISO 9001 documentation and company policies/procedures, etc.
• Leads Lean Enterprise initiatives beyond manufacturing.
• Communicates effectively with all functional disciplines and all levels of the organization.
• Responsible for understanding company policies/procedures.
• Understands Total Customer Satisfaction and aligns CI implementation to fully support this policy.
